about denise

My path has unfolded through a rich variety of interests, experiences, and pursuits. Over the years, I’ve been a dedicated yoga educator and studio owner, creative editor and graphic designer, event producer, organizer, personal assistant, problem-solver, and the person who often sees what needs to be done and figures out how to make it happen.

While these roles may seem varied, they share a common thread: I love helping people create greater clarity, order, ease, and possibility - allowing people and organizations to feel lighter.

Yoga has been at the heart of my life for more than 30 years. I hold a B.S. in Kinesiology and have taught for over 25 years, drawing from a wide range of traditions and a lifelong fascination with the intelligence of the human body. My teaching weaves together breath, structure, strength, fluidity, and presence, encouraging students to listen more deeply and develop a relationship with their own inner teacher.

My experience extends well beyond the mat. I’ve founded and operated my own  yoga studio, managed and consulted for other yoga studios, conducted teacher trainings, managed businesses and teams.

I enjoy supporting individuals and families by bringing order to something that feels overwhelming, finding a creative solution to a problem, transforming a space, managing the details of a project, or simply stepping in as a capable extra set of hands.

I also have a love of helping organizations run more effectively.  I have designed and managed  events, worked in commercial production and creative editing, designed brands and marketing materials, created organizational systems out of chaos, managed customer experiences, and handled the countless details that keep things moving.

Through it all, I’ve discovered that
I’m happiest at the intersection of creativity, organization, resourcefulness, and service.

Yoga and assisting individuals and business are more connected than they might first appear. Both are about paying attention, creating space, finding greater balance, and removing some of what gets in the way.

Sometimes that means finding more freedom in your body and mind. Sometimes it means organizing your home, completing a project, streamlining your business, or sharing the load.

Different ways of helping, with the same intention: more space, more light, more ease, and more freedom for what matters.
